German TÜV Süd certifies BTC EmbeddedPlatform 2.1
The new version BTC EmbeddedPlatform 2.1 (including BTC EmbeddedTester 4.1, BTC EmbeddedSpecifier 2.1 and BTC EmbeddedValidator 5.1) has been successfully certified by German TÜV Süd as fit for purpose for the usage in safety critical software development projects.
While past certificates had their focus on features like test execution or coverage analysis, the new certificate adresses for the first time all use cases within BTC EmbeddedPlatform. This includes:
- Requirements-based Testing
- Back-to-Back Test
- Code Coverage Analysis
- Automatic Test Generation
- Robustness Analysis
- Formal Specification
- Formal Verification
The certificate adresses different standards including IEC 61508-3:2010, ISO 26262-8:2011, EN 50128, IEC 62304 as well as ISO 25119. For the automotive standard ISO 26262 the certificate is valid for all ASIL levels incl. ASIL D. As a verification tool, BTC EmbeddedTester has been classified with TCL 3 within the certification process.
We provide the certificate and the corresponding report to our customers free of charge upon request, so it can be used during internal audits in order show the conformance of the project workflow with the applicable standards.
